The Poisoned Palette

Ten artists. One prize. One murder. And a masterpiece that has disappeared.

Join us at The Marketplace Hunt & Homestead in Woodland Park for an immersive evening where a Paint Party meets Murder Mystery! You’ll create your own painted Pyrography hat or purse while becoming part of a story filled with suspicious artists, hidden secrets, rivalries, clues—and murder.

The Mystery: The Poisoned Palette

Ten talented artists have been invited to an exclusive weekend at the prestigious Silver Oak Artist Retreat. Only one will receive the opportunity of a lifetime:

A $100,000 residency • A solo gallery exhibition • A publishing contract • National recognition

Competition director Margaret Sinclair has spent months evaluating the artists and was finally ready to announce her winner.

There’s just one problem...

Margaret has been found dead in the private studio—and the winning painting has vanished.

Someone had a reason to make sure Margaret never announced that name.

Everyone in the room is a suspect.

Paint. Investigate. Accuse. Solve.

Throughout the party, you’ll work on painting your hat or purse while the mystery unfolds between brushstrokes.

Envelopes will be opened, passages read aloud, evidence revealed, and secrets uncovered. Stay in character as the group questions suspects, develops theories, and throws around accusations.

Nobody is required to lie—but nobody has to volunteer everything they know, either.

By the end of the party, you’ll have a finished painting to take home and one final challenge:

 Can you expose the killer?
